Most of my earlier years were spent in Iowa with my Parents Calvin & Cynthia. Growing up with six sisters (Brenda, Roxanne, Laureen, Leslie, Jill & Tamara) and two brothers (Calvin & Robin), we had close family ties and I'm sure never a dull moment for my parents. Music has always been a passion in my life. I remember as a child my mother would sing to us kids and she would play her accordion or piano. Our family re-located to Westminster, Colorado and enjoyed many family outings in the beautiful Colorado Rockies. We were saddened with loss of my father who passed away at the age of 42 and Mom was left to raise the five younger children. This was the first of many tragedies that my family would endure.

Music has brought harmony back into my life after the death of my daughter whose life was taken away in her early teens with a disease to Cystic Fibroses. A year later my brother Robin who was stationed at Fort Brag was killed in a Parachute accident. This past July, My husband Joe & I lost a daughter at the age of 21 with cancer. It was a struggle, just trying to make it through each day when you have to face the loss of a child or any family member. Somehow God has given me and my family the strength to take one day at a time. Over the years I have learned that Life is so precious and we never know when a tragedy will occur in our life.

We are so thankful for all the wonderful memories that Joe and I hold in our hearts of all of our family members we have lost. And to my daughter, Kellie Sue who has always encouraged me to follow my dream with my music. Thanks for being my biggest fan. I love you honey. Also want to thank all of the Walters Gang back in Indiana. And Mom & Gene who now live in Pineland, Texas for all the support you have given me. Even though Mom & Gene are in Texas, Roxanne, Laureen, Leslie, Jill & Tamara in Colorado, Brenda, Calvin and myself, here in Arizona we still try to get together during the Holidays. This has always been a family tradition with our family.

A few years ago my grandmother bought me a guitar for Christmas and she encouraged me to learn to play. I have written several songs and I thank the good Lord every day that this brings so much happiness to my life. Even though Dad, Robin, Jamie, Granny Deyo & Jennifer are no longer with us I know I have some very special Angels watching over me.

I recently had the opportunity to record my first album with Music City Attraction located back in Nashville. I was contacted by President and CEO of Music City Attraction Beau Loeser & the very talented Darrin Vincent two time Grammy winner. Both of my producers selected songs for my first album that was completed in March 2002. I hope all of you enjoy my first album titled "Let the Girl Be-Herself". I'm so thankful that I was given this opportunity with Music City Attractions and look forward to working on my next album. So far two of these songs on my first album have been promoted with Comstock Records of Fountain Hills, AZ over in Europe.

I recently wrote a Christmas Song called "Tennessee Christmas Cheer" I'm planning on working with Darrin Vincent on getting this recorded and on my website by Christmas 2002, currently I'm working on a new song that was written by Marlene Herrera dedicated to Jerry Castle called "When She left Him She Never Shed a Tear", this will also be available on my website in the near future.
